Cameroon - Odds to Win 2014 FIFA World Cup

Cameroon is a very gifted and strong physical team that has a solid midfield and defense. However, they do not have very good odds, as their offense is not a dynamic one and they rely too much on veteran Samuel Eto'o. They have the worst odds to make it out of their group, but while they face Brazil both Mexico and Croatia did not fare well in qualifying, so the African nation has a chance to advance.

How They Advanced:

Cameroon beat Tunisia in the play-offs of CAF, but it was not an easy progression to the World Cup main draw. Their offense was lacking, as they only scored eight goals in six matches facing Libya, Congo DR and Togo in group qualifying play. While the offense is the big question mark for the squad they have hope coming to Brazil. After their 0-0 draw against Tunisia in the first leg of the CAF play-offs they scored 4 goals in the second leg at home to advance.

Early Prediction:

Even with their strong defense Cameroon has, pretty much, no chance facing Brazil in group play, but they do have a chance facing Mexico and Croatia. The schedule does favor them not having to play Brazil until the last group match. Cameroon will upset Mexico in the first group match, but they will not fare so well against Croatia and Brazil in their next two. Cameroon will win one match in group play, but they will not progress.
