Colombia - Odds to Win 2014 FIFA World Cup

Colombia has qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 16 years and they have the best betting odds to make it out of their group. They are not in the toughest group this summer along with Ivory Coast, Japan, and Greece. The Columbians finished second behind Argentina in South American qualifying and they have a great offense. However, the defense is the major concern.
The Colombians are a well-rounded and technical squad that has great fitness and they have a great shot to have their best World Cup showing, which was the round of 16 in 1990.

How They Advanced:
Colombia Finished second in CONMEBOL behind Argentina qualifying with 30 points. In five qualifying matches playing squads that are playing in Brazil they only lost one match. Argentina was the only team that had more points than Colombia in the qualifying process and the Colombians played to a 0-0 draw against them on the road. They scored five goals in their last two matches and showed Bolivia how great the Colombian offense is with a 5-0 win.
Early Prediction:
The Colombians will not have nay problems winning the matches in group play facing Ivory Coast and Japan, but Greece is a concern with their great defense. A draw facing Greece is a distinct possibility, but if that happens Colombia will still win the group on goal differential because of their offense.
Once in the last 16 things get much tougher for every team and that is especially the case for Colombia. They will likely play either Italy or England in the first match and their defense will be exposed against either of those teams. Colombia will advance to the round of 16, but no further.
